July 20th - Rest and Relax Day

Rest and relaxing was much needed today.  We planned on a quiet day after going, going, going. We slept in, worked out and then just bummed around. Today was the day that I kicked off this blog. It took some trial and error but I figured some of this program out.  We headed out in the late afternoon to the craft beer place and had a drink.  Then we walked to Bonaparte, a place that was recommended to us.  We had a drink and decided to try the sandwich which Porto is known for, the francesinha.  Our taxi driver let us in on this little secret.  The place was underwhelming, but the sandwich was interesting.  Two pieces of white breaded filled with meat!  A burger, a hotdog, some ham and bologna with olives that is then covered with sliced cheese that is melted and topped with a fried egg.  It wasn't too bad!  But the place was not what we imagined so we headed to our next stop, another craft beer bar.  This place was tiny little bar with the most friendly and helpful bartenders.  I tried a coffee and raspberry sour, which was interesting and then had a pineapple, mango & pear blonde.  I was also introduced to corn nuts!  As we walked home we stopped and Kate wanted to be the I in Gaia, the area in which we are staying.
